Tadej Znidarcic’s work has taken him around the world where he has documented various social issues ranging from polio victims in Nigeria and Street Children in Kenya to lead poisoning in camps for internally displaced people in Kosovo and schools on boats in Bangladesh. He has also featured the Nollywood film industry in Nigeria, the Bektashi Muslims in Albania and warfare games in Slovenia. He has worked with various non profit organizations, most recently in Uganda with Rotary International covering a polio immunization campaign, with Softpower Education documenting projects for special needs children, and with LABE documenting adult and children literacy programs in northern Uganda.

Tadej was the recipient of the Global Fund for Children/International Center of Photography Fellowship which took him to India, Bangladesh and Romania to document the impact of local non-profits on their communities. A graduate of the International Center of Photography in New York City, Tadej was the recipient of the George and Joyce Moss Scholarship for Photojournalism in 2007.

Tadej is a contributing photographer for Redux Pictures and his photographs have appeared in magazines, newspapers and various publications in the USA, UK, Italy, Germany, France, Nigeria, Uganda and Slovenia. PDNEdu in 2009 published a feature story on Tadej and his work, calling him “one to watch.” Tadej’s work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in several countries in Europe and USA.

Tadej is originally from Ljubljana, Slovenia where he received a university degree in physics. He worked as a researcher at the biophysics lab in the University of Ljubljana prior to dedicating himself fully to photography.
