I posted a new story about inline skating in Uganda. I came across Kampala inline skaters by accident. I was photographing a sporting event when their coach approached me and asked me if I wanted to check out also what his group is doing every weekend at The National Stadium. When I visited their practice I was blown away – these guys and girls were swooshing by me at break neck speeds on a parking lot full of other people. While the rest were playing football or volleyball for fun, skaters were seriously practicing for international competitions. A chance of an accident was constantly hanging in the air. Falls and injuries happened all the time. I loved their resilience. I returned often to photograph their practice, competitions or just to hang out. We became friends and I hope they get to continue to practice the sport they love and compete at the highest level.
